About Ziro Valley:

Ziro Valley is one of the most enchanting places in Arunachal Pradesh with sprawling views, sweeping valleys and lush pastures. The views are so ethereal and enticing that it makes a perfect place for photographers and nature lovers. Amidst the captivating beauty of the Valley are quaint villages and vibrant fauna.

In this serene place, seekers of a spiritual retreat can immerse themselves in the ethereal natural splendor.

Things to do in Ziro Valley:

Ziro Valley is full of adventure with scenic beauty and unexplored jewels with people steeped in the rich traditions of their past. It is home to the unique Apatani tribe which follow 'Donyi Polo' religion. They are highly educated and have evolved a unique cultivation system where fish is reared in paddy fields at the same time.

Though Ziro Valley lacks the commercial tourist infrastructure that has set up shops in other parts of India, it still offers travelers a unique experience with its intact nature, traditions, and culture.

1. Apatani Villages: The indigenous culture of the Apatani people can best be experienced in places like Hong, Hari, Bula, Baro, and Siiro. In the settlements, the clan or the sons of Abotani are referred to by their names. During our tours, visitors can take guided excursions through village communities, visit homes, speak with Apatani villagers about their past when their civilization was not touched by modernity, and discover intriguing stories.

2. Paddy fields: If you are looking for a complete Zero Valley tour, Ziro Valley's rice farms are beautiful, making them a favorite among travelers. Take a glimpse and stroll through the interconnecting streams among the farms and tiny granaries. The farms are distinctive since they raise fish and other veggies for everyday use.

3. Tarin fish farm: Is there anything better than seeing a Fishery at a high altitude? In addition to visiting commercially developed locations, our tours include less commercialized places.

Tarin fish farm is a fishery at a high elevation. Fisheries raise high-altitude fish in ponds, and their fingerlings are later sold to farmers for paddy production. By cultivating rice and Ngihi fish simultaneously in their fields, the Apatanis can cover their crops with both. You will be fascinated to see how the Apatani tribe makes the best use of the land resources at their disposal by cultivating rice and fish.

4. Hapoli Market : Hapoli Market is an exciting place where travelers can see unusual foods that make up the regional cuisine. Besides various regional plants and dried rats, you will also find frogs, pork steaks, ferns, tapyo salt, bamboo shoots, and other items at the stalls. Many sellers offer cane and bamboo crafts in the Market since these materials are regularly used in household items. Leaves are wrapped around items, and wicker baskets are used to transport them.

5. Ziro Puto Viewpoint: Who wouldn't want to take in the fantastic views from this stunning location? This vista is ideal if you're seeking a setting where you can experience the clean air of the Himalayan Mountains. Along the runway, there is a tiny mound called Ziro Puto Viewpoint. Views of evergreen forests, terraced rice fields, and hazy mountains can be seen from a bird's eye perspective from Old Ziro Town. This is a great place to unwind after experiencing Ziro's cultural treasures.

Ziro Valley is a place of a magnificent blend of spring and autumn that offers visitors an experience of a lifetime. No matter when you visit, you will be welcomed by breath-taking landscapes, beautiful terrace fields and hidden lakes.
